The "pretty" one at the start reminded me a bit of Crysis' theme

I usually like games with deep character stories and connected lore. I usually like games with emotional storytelling music. I usually like plotlines that have well-directed moments. Kenshi has none of this, but I like it. I like it in a totally different way.

The music design in this game is so beautiful, when you played examples of each layer I was immediately shot back to watching my silly little hive guy mining his copper vein nearby the bar just north of the Hub, the music is so calming and soothing from the indifference, almost like the music isn't about the game's events, but rather the fact you're playing it at all

Can you explain or help us understand why sometimes the music gets really really loud? I have found many comments and mods (that have failed) to address the problem of too loud of music. The 'bed' layer gets increasing loud in the desert. I have read through a years worth of comments and everyone has had issues editing the volume. Even when trying to replace the files to copies that are much lower in volume still gives us very loud music eventually. I set my music volume at .2 and I still have this issue eventually. It physically hurts my ears and the mod pictures all have an image showing the pain to the ears this causes. Do you know of any mechanics that would increase the volume of the bed more and more as time goes on? All of the community mods have failed to address this, and the 'fix' of using a YT playlist gives such a weaker version. I love the music, but wish there was a way to limit the music, even when keeping it whisper quiet I get an ear piercing tone. Thank you for the wonderful music, it really feels like another character and I wish I was able to enjoy it more.

I feel bad that I bought this at sale. Best game ever, unique and authentic, so excited for kenshi 2!

This soundtrack is absolutely stunning!! I started playing and was unable to get much past the beginning due to it crashing sadly, but now that I've discovered the soundtrack I am still at least very happy to have that in my life. I've been listening to it a LOT lately! Amazing work!

Very nice, thanks. I turn off music in almost every game that gives me the option. Prefer the immersion that the lack of a soundtrack brings and to be honest most game OSTs are kind of phoned in. This is one of the ones I keep on.

imagine going to all of this unique work and effort on the soundtrack, turning in your work, and then when the game comes out you see that the guy doing the graphics just pooped out the absolute worst asset flips imaginable.

tbh i wish other open world games did this, esp morrowind.

I came here after transcribing Breath of the World so I can have a go at playing it (very lapsed cellist). I was listening thinking 'that cello is definitely played by a human' and yes, there she is. When she started playing the main theme I burst into tears! So moving. Thank you for this terrific music.

I will be honest I have many hour in kenshi and has to restart to the last save because im falling asleep and afking in the game lol i woke up my main companies are dying while the base still intact cos of turret but still has to load the lastest save 😅

This man is a genius of our time.

Hope you may one day see this but i wish to say this music is wonderful and the end product has been some of the most evocative and beautifully haunting music I've ever listened to great job no two was about it

Kenshi music just does something to me, gives me a whole range of emotions that very few other pieces of music can do.

1:60 she is the reason all of us can FEEL like we are there fighting, bleeding, falling and rising agaist throught dust and blood with our characters in this world.
